WAYNE, Pa., March 9, 2009 -- MEDecision, Inc., a leading provider of collaborative health care management solutions, today announced that its Alineoâ„¢ collaborative health care management platform was successfully deployed by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Minnesota (BCBSMN). The insurer implemented the technology to streamline care management efforts for about 1.4 million of its members.
BCBSMN is primarily utilizing Alineo to facilitate Whole Person Health Support, a recently launched initiative that identifies opportunities to improve members' health status and reduce health care costs by assessing such factors as known gaps in care, the member's ability to work more closely with their provider and the member's likelihood to engage in interventions. Alineo provides BCBSMN with a platform that supports their strengthened case and disease management capabilities necessary for the new Whole Person Health Support model.
